KOR X is a tactical wearable cooling solution designed for military dogs during field breaks under extreme heat. Developed in collaboration with the IDF Oketz Unit, the system aims to reduce core body temperature in short, controlled intervals, without limiting mobility or adding operational risk.
KOR X was designed specifically for harsh field conditions, with a focus on tactical functionality, modular setup, and silent operation. The system operates for 15 minutes per use, achieving a reduction of approximately 2°C in the dog’s body temperature.

Louvered vents are integrated into the housing, allowing airflow into the system while minimizing dust ingress. Air enters from the sides, passes through the heatsink to absorb heat, and exits through the fan, actively removing heat from the system. The design balances ventilation and protection, reducing the risk of dust buildup near sensitive components.

The collar-based system uses dual thermoelectric (TEC) units positioned directly over the carotid arteries on both sides of the neck, enabling fast and effective blood cooling. All electronics and batteries are carried by the handler, while the collar remains lightweight and easy to deploy and remove between missions.

The system uses a single IP68-rated quick-connect power cable. Designed for field conditions, the connector is sealed against dust and water, enabling fast, tool-free connection between the collar and the external unit carried by the handler.

Compact LEDs indicate battery level: green (full), yellow (half), red (low). Visible but small to reduce exposure in the field.

Dust-sealed zipper enables full access for maintenance and troubleshooting.

Magnetic attachment by Fidlock, used to mount the battery unit onto the soldier’s vest or backpack. Enables quick and secure connection and disconnection during operation.
